Garden maintenance worker — City of Franklin

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will work at a plant nursery. The role involves: • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe You should have: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
