Ladle pourer wanted in Columbia County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Columbia County, Washington. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills 4+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
