Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lee County, Iowa. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together.
