Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Sumter County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits.
