You should have: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Day-to-day duties: • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience.
