Great opportunity: we are hiring a roof repair specialist in Kane County, Illinois. You will be based on commercial flat-roof projects. On a typical shift you will nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses; torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates; seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing. You should have: • A good head for heights and steady balance • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
