Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance 3+ years on the tools preferred.
