We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Greene County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
