Sheet metal welder — Tooele County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Tooele County, Utah. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. Pay around $23 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
