Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Gregg County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits.
