Join our team: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Franklin Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes Day to day you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
