Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. ₦200,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
