Join our team: we are hiring a groundworker in Mariposa County, California. The job is on a commercial building project. Day-to-day duties: • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator You should have: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
