Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Putnam County, West Virginia. The job is on a busy residential building site. You will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
