Garment presser • Williamson County, Illinois

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment presser in Williamson County, Illinois. You will work in a garment export house. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Give each garment a final press before packing • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
