Garment machinist — Lehigh County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required 3+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $240 per day, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
