Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Your main tasks: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Performance bonus on top of base pay.
