Argon welding operator wanted in Mid and East Antrim

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Mid and East Antrim, Northern Ireland. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel £2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
