Now hiring: we are hiring a construction helper in Smith County, Tennessee. Ideal candidate: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it Day to day you will dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
