Immediate opening: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Blackburn with Darwen, England. You will work at a busy machine shop. The role involves: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces 2+ years on the tools preferred.
