Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Presque Isle County, Michigan. You will be based on a road construction project. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections Day-to-day duties: • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil Six days a week, one day off.
