Join our team: we are hiring a CO2 welder in City of Newport News, Virginia. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Day to day you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls.
