We are recruiting: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a forging and pressing unit. Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred On a typical shift you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; record output and downtime on the production sheet; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting.
