Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Dickinson County, Michigan. Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Part-time with flexible hours.
