Port container crane operator wanted in Goliad County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Goliad County, Texas. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Current medical and eyesight certificate You will climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift.
