Gtaw welder — York County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in York County, Maine. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE 6+ years on the tools preferred.
