Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
