Join our team: trowel-trade bricklayer (Washington)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Pacific County, Washington. The job is on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Six days a week, one day off.
