Now hiring: CNC milling operator (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC milling operator in Presque Isle County, Michigan. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to grind and set HSS cutters 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
