Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Bond County, Illinois. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Part-time with flexible hours.
