Immediate opening: we are hiring a car painter in Sierra County, California. The job is in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Your main tasks: • Mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper Requirements: • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Able to read and match factory paint codes • Comfortable working in a spray booth with full PPE 4+ years on the tools preferred.
