Vacancy available: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in LaSalle County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for ceiling and stairwell work • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
