Great opportunity: sand plant operator (Maryland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Harford County, Maryland. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
