Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Manistee County, Michigan. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. You should have: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs On a typical shift you will dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift.
