Moulder • Kankara, Katsina State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Kankara, Katsina State. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Six days a week, one day off.
