Steel erection rigger wanted in Hidalgo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. You will be based at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
