Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Chesterfield County, South Carolina. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination The role involves: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
