Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Hillsborough County, Florida. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $6,500 per project, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
