Vacancy available: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. You will work on a quarry floor. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain Day-to-day duties: • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Refuel the machine and record running hours • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
