Foundry operative • Scott County, Arkansas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Scott County, Arkansas. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
