Body shop technician wanted in Jackson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a body shop technician in Jackson County, Illinois. The job is at a paint and panel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains Requirements: • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
