Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Franklin County, Alabama. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Rotating shifts.
