Immediate opening: banksman (Georgia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a banksman in Glascock County, Georgia. The job is on a high-rise building site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
