Heavy equipment operator • DeKalb County, Indiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in DeKalb County, Indiana. The job is at a plant hire yard. On the job you will handle: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Requirements: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Understanding of safe digging near underground services At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
