Urgent requirement: die-casting operator (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Daviess County, Kentucky. You will work at a busy iron foundry. On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills 5+ years on the tools preferred. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
