Great opportunity: we are hiring a render and set plasterer in Lapeer County, Michigan. The job is at a new-build housing development. The role involves: • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge You should have: • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
