Great opportunity: we are hiring a machine setter-operator in City and County of San Francisco, California. Your main tasks: • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges Requirements: • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
