Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Wapello County, Iowa. The job is on a structural steel site. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run.
