Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Butte County, South Dakota. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
