Great opportunity: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Mills County, Iowa. You will work on a busy high-rise construction site. The role involves erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
